The community of Redwood Shores is one of the very few newer areas on the Peninsula. Although it is within the City Limits of Redwood City and Belmont, this is a distinct community east of US 101 between the freeway and the bay.

The beautifully landscaped homes are set among lagoons and saltwater ways with a network of bicycle and walking trails. A major shopping center anchors the community with a number of high-rise office buildings including the very large Oracle Campus.
